Got a call from a family friend today saying that I had to swing by their work and check out what they just got in. This is what they had, a TVR Sagaris and a Morgan Roadster. Both cars were shipped here from the UK and were at the dealership getting inspected. The owner is apparently here on work and the cars are registered in the UK.

Morgan is seriously a company that flat out refuses to accept new designs & ideas; its like their stuck in the pre WWII era.
I'd almost be surprised if they come with anything other then a Ham radio as an option.

Both those cars look sweet! Is that the only TVR in Calgary?

And they have a loyal clientele base because of it. If they changed completely they would lose 90% of their current clientele - yes they may gain new customers but that's a big maybe - I think it's cool the way they do things rather than be like everyone else trying catch up with the big boys.

It was weird looking at it, the exterior is very classic but when you look at all the suspension and braking components everything is super modern. The interior didn't look very modern but it looked very classy, you could tell the instruments and seats were new but they were modeled after an old design.

no it is not. I've spotted the same TVR a few times in the south of calgary. Older, but still an amazing car.

A Sagaris or a Cerbera?

Was that that pearl-ly grey colored one? I was talking to the owner of it; he imported it temporarily from Europe for the while he was here. That was about 4-5 years ago though. I think it was a Cerebra. I made a big "spotted" thread about it too when I first saw it. Dont know how the hell I could ever find it again though.

I also want to point out that car is not a true Sagaris in my mind, its a T400 which is a little different, but still amazing.

I noticed TVR is based out of Austria now, and they are revamping current cars and stuffing LS3s in them now instead of the bonkers old Inline 6s...

If there ever is a TVR meet, or a TVR at one of the chinook meets... I'm down for taking pics.

Man I would love to have a new "classic" Morgan. Plus 4 or 8, either works for me.
Shame they don't sell those ones in NA.

I went to the Morgan factory when I was over in the UK and they're nifty little cars hand built with a wood frame. TVR is fantastic

I know the car is almost a decade old, design-wise but holy crap, that TVR is a TRAINWRECK from a design standpoint. Nothing flows, works or looks good aesthetically.

Those exhaust tips? Fuck, why not extend them to Lethbridge?

Viper doors, bolt on cheap looking steering wheel, cheese grater rear "bumper", semi trailer tail lights, awkward sloped roof...

What were the designers thinking? Someone needed to watch less phantom menace.
