long story short he scammed me out of $500 on calgary rc.com and i want my money back or the item i paid for. went to the rcmp and so far i haven't heard anything. been a month now. his phone #'s are 403 477 5641 and 403 805 4921. he was running an ad on kijiji for a cleaning business he had but i think they're gone now. he goes by dre cube on face book if you want to see his picture.

BUT for the inquiring minds yes, i bought a redcat rampage mt. it's a 1/5 scale gasoline powered truck. he had it for sale on calgary rc. sent him the money by email transfer after talking to a few other people there who dealt with him said they've had good experiences. he didn't have paypal which i wanted to use. he kept in contact for a few days then disappeared. went to the rcmp with his name, numbers, pictures, records of the transfer and his accepting it, pictures of his ads on rcc and kijiji and all the other stuff i dug up on him. his address matches his phone number in the white pages according to his drivers license #. but his house phone is disconnected. he has no criminal record, but that may change. if anyone wants to stop by here and check him out there may be a reward involved.

Look... dude.... people are trying to get details of the transaction as a background of the situation for which you just asked for help. As has already been said - people could easily accuse each other of things if others simply accepted their word for it. Sorry no screen prints. As you can see by the link posted to his sale thread there were no replies. All contact was done by phone. No online chit chat. 3 phone calls was all it took. 1st was me telling him I wanted it. Second was him telling me where to send money. 3rd was me was confirming he was shipping it. Couple days later I called back wondering where it was. No answer. Started to do some searching. Found his kijij ads with different phone #'s. Still wouldn't answer. Blocked my # still wouldn't answer. Went out and bought pay as you go phone and activated it with Calgary number. Remember I don't live in Calgary anymore. Up near Edmonton now. Called him and he answered. Pretended I was inquiring about his cleaning servic ad on kijij. Once I got him to admit his name and his wife's name I let him know who I was. He was shocked as shit. I told him the RCMP were involved and he said he would send the truck. Even the following day he called me and said he was going to do it. He never did and I still can't get a hold of him.

He was probably applying for a job and his prospective employer googled him, and then told him because he is a scammer, he could not hire him.

He goes home, does the same google search, and tries to defend himself.

my thoughts on the matter anyways.

I can't imagine an employer would ever say "We're not hiring you because we think you're a scammer". That screams "sue me". They'd just not call him back or tell him they went with somebody else.
