Hey all,

I'm looking to spruce up my silver 2004 Outlander for the summer and other than putting adjustable coilovers on it, I'm also looking to change the 17in. summer rims for it.

I'm torn between:

- Tenzo R Type M in matte bronze (http://www.buyrimsandtires.com/store/images/wheels/tenzo_typemv1_brz_2.jpg)

- TSW Nurburgring RF in matte bronze (http://www.sportingwheels.com/images/thumbs/0001556.jpeg)

I'm also open to ideas but those are my main choices.

C'mon, Beyond ballers! Help me look half as presentable as all y'all!

Oops! Can a mod transfer this to the wheels thread, when possible?

My bad. :)

TSW would be my first choice, a very good quality strong light weight wheel forged wheel at a more than reasonable price. Another line to look at would be MHT's Niche line of wheels which are also forged

MHT is also the same company that makes ADV.1 wheel and the Niche line has some that are very similar in appearance at again a very reasonable price.

At my shop about 70% of the rims we sell (not for trucks) are Niche or TSW lines. Very reasonable price, Very high quality, and mostly because MHT and TSW have awesome customer service, accurate wait times, and great warranty.

IMO, Just from an aesthetics point of view, I think the Tenzo's would look much better. Because those particular TSW's would be more compatible with wider vehicles. So I would go with the Tenzo's in gun mental or something like that? :dunno:

If I had to pick between the two, it'd have to be TSW Nurburgring RF. Gunmetal would look sweet on your outlander's silver.

If you look online at some pics of the Tenzo's on cars, they look different than the pic you provided , where the spokes look skinnier (in a weird way).

Check out the TSWs on a MDX!

Gunmetal

Also, another style just food for thought:

The TSW's are mighty nice but I hear that the rims chip easily. Is it because of the quality or is it because of the matte finish?

I like this Niche wheel:

But not sure about the 'machined' color. Is that a dark grey and matte? NO CHROME. 19's? Holy shit, that's huge.

I'm a fan of both designs and I like chunky, multi-spoke designs (more spokes; the better). Gunmetal is actually a color I didn't think about because I thought it would blend with the black and look silly.

However, that MDX is telling me otherwise!

I like those Work's too. Especially with pink lugs. AIYA! :banghead:

The Tenzo's are delicious and I love the convex/dimple thing going on in the middle.

These are nice too:

I find that any matte finish in general doesn't hold up great over time, but then again I wouldn't rock these in winter either which would do a lot when it comes to preserving the finish.

From what I see the machined and black, gloss black, and silver finishes hold up the best. Chrome can hold up well if maintained properly, but most people dont and it pits to shit and corrodes.

That said, I don't like Bronze. Gun metal or bright silver would be a much better colour for a silver vehicle.

I don't want silver as the car is silver and just becomes 'washed' out. I think gunmetal is starting to grow on me more and more.

I think the Nurburgring's in Gunmetal is a clear winner so far.

I'm gonna see what other people suggest, if they have any.

Looks like the TSW's are winners!

Talked to Bob from UrbanX and I know roughly how much it'll be for 17's. Now to decide on tires... Haha.

Toyo Versado LXII seems to be a contender, especially with their rebate going on this season.

Thoughts?

What was the quote you got from Bob for the TSWs?

Still thinking on what to do next with it...
