Anyone building now or built recently?

What did you pay per pot light? Preferably in a location (living room) that had nothing to start with.

135-165 should be the norm

I payed 115 per pot light with Excel Homes. Consider that pot light units cost about $50 (depending on quality) each plus the electircians time. My brother is an electrician and said it is relatively time consuming to properly instal pot lights.

i remember around 80 per pot.. keep in mind.... the more pots you buy, the less you have to spend on light fixtures.... Which btw, if your buying a new house, they will rape your fucking ass with... I remember looking at fixtures for my bathroom, they were like 250 + bulbs each... I would recommend doing pot lights everywhere... if you dont, in all honesty you'll end up spending even more on fixtures anyway...

You get fixtures as the standard. Only more if you upgrade them.

Pots are $140 per with our builder.

They should credit you back if you remove the standard fixture in order to install pot lights.
In our build, we removed the standard fixture in the living room and instead put in 5 potlights, got a credit back (a small one) for the deletion of the standard fixture.
