Hey guys!! I'm about to buy a 98 240sx but.. (moved)

the mileage is way too high.. all most 160k..
I didn't test drive yet.. but the dealer said it's in good condition..
no mods on it.. All Stock!!
What should I do guys?
Can I just buy it? or do have to look for another one?
price is pretty low.. little less than $8000 USD
what if I buy it and get a full service.. how much it will worth?
I know nothing.. Please help me out~~!!

That'd be a good car for a swap. Hard to say really. If it was well maintained it should still be in good shape. If not, expect a few repairs here and there.

Best thing to do is to test drive it. Check the service records. It also doesnt hurt to look for a lower mileage one.

Not a bad price maybe you can have it checked out by a Mechanic see what he says. Are you planning to keep the engine or going to swap it if you are going to do a swap i would buy it

Possibly going out on a limb here....i thought that 96 maybe 97 was the last year of the 240 imported here...other then that it would be a s14 early model wich wasent imported here.:dunno:

I guess 98 was the last of the breed....dude id grab it cause your car would be a close enough shape to the silvias you could jdm the shit out of it and have something that not many if anyone else has in your city...screw km and just grab it..rarer find for sure:thumbsup:

Wow 160k miles! The previous owner really had somwhere to go. That is awfully high for anycar especially a late 90's. Easiest thing to do is to get it checked over by a mechanic. Not sure what your location is but hopefully it is somwhere warm and doesn't salt the roads. This car sounds like the perfect candidate for a swap. Good luck! Sweet s14:burnout:

Good luck with your purchase. I'm sure you'll be pleased with it. Since you're buying it from a dealership, check to see if a warantee is present of any sort. Try and get it checked out from a mechanic cuz any dealer could say that its in good condition. To me, I think "good condition" will differ from person to person. But other than that, enjoy it as the 97-98 shark-eyes s14 is really nice. Oh and if you plan on doing the coveted s14a for s14 tail lights swap, I could supply you with s14 tails in return for your s14a tail lights. Haha
