Anyone ever tried this? I'm trying to get a bunch of us to go but just curious as to how intense it is because most of us are pretty out of shape

I'm signed up, very out of shape and trying to think of an excuse to get out of it without my friends realizing I'm backing out.

I think thats probably the easiest one out of them all. if you are not in that great of shape, a course that long you should be fine.
The tough mudder in whistler in june and the spartan in calgary are also going to be fun races but slightly more challenging.

I would love to do that. Did the Spartan race last year but I have another engagement that weekend. :(

As long as it's not hilly you should have fun. The Spartan last year was a runner's race.

http://toughmudder.com/events/ That one appears to be on the same weekend oddly enough.

Have fun!

Mudder is 2013 in Calgary. The nearest 2012 race is Whister in June which is going to be a hill climb from hell. You were right last summers Spartan was pure cardio/hill running...

As far as I know Spartan Race is full in Calgary already. I figured after losing 75lbs this year I'd train for something fun.

My neighbor is trying to get me to do mud hero which I might do. Not entirely sure as I am definitely not a runner by any means...

Spartan is only 60% full. I would reccomend going for it. its not at COP this year so the hills shouldnt be that bad.

I'm in the 11:30 wave. Register earlier and you have better selection of wave times to start at.

Never done an obstacle course but I can run.
