The headlights on my EVO IX have a slight hazing/film on them..it almost appears like a clearcoat/aftermarket film that was applied to the lenses when new, but now, there's only "cloud patterns" of the film left behind........i did the clay bar/wax on the entire car this weekend, but the film is still there....albeit somewhat reduced...
Are there any vendors on beyond.ca that can do a more comprehensive job of restoring my headlights? I know there are do-it yourself kits from the store, and i can probably do them if need be, but i'd rather get someone who has done this before (successfully)..
Has anyone had success with the do-it yourself kits?
Thanks in advance.

Not sure about vendors, but I did the DIY route with wet sandpaper and it worked out really well, just need a bit of elbow grease. It cost me about $5 (already had some PlastX and painters tape).

(sorry, no pics)
I've also read good things about the 3M kit. It's basically the same idea, only it comes with all the sandpaper you need, and attaches to your drill to make it really easy.

Before you attempt to wetsand, try compound polish with a compound pad using a polisher.
If that doesn't provide the result you want, then try wetsanding (800 > 1000 > 1500 > 2000 > 3000 grit (if you can get some 3000)). After compound polish it and if it leaves a hazy finish, proceed with a finer polish. Finally, seal and Wax.
PM me if you can't find any 3000 grit sand paper.

^ Yeah if it's only a light haze, polish will do a very good job removing it.
If it's right properly clouded over you will need to wet sand.

What's a recommended seal after polishing? Would just waxing be sufficient?

For OTS, you can use Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection. One of the best OTS product you can use without going into professionally detailing products.

If you can find 3M Compound, that'll be a good product to use.

Give PlastX a try if you have a random orbital or rotary polisher.

It doesn't work that well by hand though.

Thanks guys...i have an orbital so i will try this polishing first.....if that doesn't fix it, i will attack it by wet sanding.
