I am going to be making 20+ round trip flights within Canada over the next year. The majority of them will be from Grande Prairie to Saskatoon for my days off. At ~$550 a pop according to West Jet/Air Canada this is going to be roughly $10,000. Is there anywhere I could look to get a bit of a deal on that? I don't mind paying but when I'm making the flight nearly every 2 weeks it would be nice if there was a way to reduce the cost a bit.

Suggestions?

Air Canada has flight passes you may consider looking into.

Find yourself a girlfriend who works for WestJet and get her to make you her companion... :dunno: Sorry... It's the best I have for you...

It's about $4300 after taxes for 10 one way flights within Alberta so it should save you ~ $2000
Air Canada flight passes are not the deal that they used to be.

Except he has to make 20 round trip flights. So it would cost him more to use flight passes.

Yea I was looking into the Air Canada flight passes yesterday and once you factor taxes and everything in they were $100-$200 more than just buying the flights individually.

My flights are also not just within Alberta, I'm doing GP to Edmonton/Calgary to Saskatoon and back.

Fixed for political correctness.

If you haven't yet sign up for Air Canadas business frequent flyer program. You will get a 15% off code and a few other benefits right from the start.

I've heard of people getting these benefits without having a business too...

I asked the ladies in HR to look into that more. I've signed up to both West Jet's point thing as well as Air Canada's areoplan points. It looks like I'll just have to pay the $10,000 and call it a day because I haven't been able to track down anything worthwhile for the personal frequent flyer.
