Bay has a one day deal on this: http://www2.thebay.com/OneDayMattresses/en/default.html?utm_medium=Affiliate&tag=CJ&utm_campaign=Affiliate&utm_source=CJ

I'm a newb on mattresses and have no idea if this mattress retails for the $2600 (queen) reg. price.

Thoughts? Is a boxspring required if I'm planning to buy a platform bed with slats? if I do not get a boxspring does this void the warranty?

 That's cheap enough for me to replace my mattress until I'm really ready to spend a lot.

Kelly, are these decent mattresses???

Sealy has a the Crown Jewel proback on right now for the same price in a set. That's a good deal for a queen mattress only, but the boxes are way over priced. If its going on to a platform bed Sealy still gives full 10yr warranty unlike some other brands. I can tell you the stated retail price is highly inflated compared to other retailers.

What's the difference between the Posturepedic Silver Elegance Eurotop and the Proback?

Pro backs are higher end and Crown Jewels pro backs are pretty much the Bays Sterns and foster beds only way cheaper(Sealy makes S&F)

just to clarify you would recommend the crown jewel proback over the Posturepedic Silver Elegance Eurotop for the same price ($659) for a queen?

How do I contact you?

Thanks,

They recommend you use the boxsprings but we use ours with our ikea bed with slats, no problems. Only issue is warranty, some manufactures don't care but some give less or none at all so make sure you check before buying if that's a concern to you. You really need to go and check if it's right for you. My wife finds them too soft mainly because she's only like 100lb's and basically just floats on the cusion top, I'm heavier so I feel the firmness from it.

Based on the specs if you are buying a double or queen mattress only it's a killer deal in the set it's still a really good deal, but there is other options out there for the same price.

I'm looking for a king would this be the best option price wise or is there something else you can recommend ?

Mattress only I think is a loss leader, they make their money on the boxsprings.

Ended up getting the mattress from The Bay deal. Only needed a double and my bed has the Ikea slates so no need for a boxspring. Signed up for some HBC card and got another 10% off. Walked out paying 634.xx w/ GST. Considering the components, I think it's a fantastic deal! And a big thanks to Kelly for helping me out even though I didn't buy from the store.
