What do you guys think?

I'm a pretty die hard Jap/USA car guy, never bothered to look into Europe.

But man.. Porsches are looking so Delicious these days. Yes I said Delicious.

All I've been doing for the last week is looking up 911's. Everything I can read about them.

So beyond.. What are the opinions of the NA Porsches at our elevation? I'm a die hard NA guy, but promised myself I wouldn't go NA on a real car. Just V8 Na or Turbo 6.

I'd love a 996TT, but a 997 4S with PDK and Chrono is just sick. 0-60 in 4.2!!

Elevation would be one of my last concerns when buying a car.

Well It wouldn't be as much an issue if it was a big Displacement V8. But we're talking 3.8L, and over 100hp/L. So this thing has to Rev.

Anyone who's owned a Vtec honda here AND driven the same car close to sea level can understand.

My k20 in my civic now (RRC IM, TB, Race Header, 3" Exhaust, Injectors, 3.5" Custom CAI Tuned by Jeff Evans) breaks the tires in First gear here in Fort McMurray. We're 800ft above.

In calgary it feels like any other 4 cyl. It's just brutal.

Shit I had to lower my Vtec pressure window to 88Kpa just so my vtec would crossover in Calgary at the rpm is was set at.

Turbo solves almost all the issues for our elevation.

Take the hp and tq curve, and chop off 20% everywhere haha. That's NA for ya. I was just messing around with my performance computer which has a power meter, sure enough, my car maxes out at only 420hp (517hp at sea level).

did it have the power you felt it should have? Or would a base Vette walk you?

Mind you the older porsches were not Stop light warriors. Now with the PDK and Chrono Sport options, yeah they are lol.

My parents have a 996 C4S and it feels fine at our elevation... certainly not as quick as sea level, but certainly nothing to really complain about.

I still think it would be pretty quick here!

I have had my C4S for 4 years now. I love getting up in the morning knowing that I am going to be able to drive it.
