Visited Brava in February for a birthday dinner. We had high expectation since their ratings were so high. Boy were we disappointed. Started off with the Lobster Poutine (highly recommended by a lot of people), Seared Scallops and soups. The fries were soggy and there wasn’t much flavor until you get to the bottom of the dish. The fries at the bottom of the dish were extremely drenched in the sauce to the point it is bitter and has a tiny burning sensation in your throat. The seared scallops were ok, it wasn’t anything memorable. The soup was probably the best appetizer out of the bunch but once again, not memorable.

(Sorry for the blurry picture)
For entrees, we had the Spicy Penne, Atlantic Salmons, and BBQ Pork Shoulders. Sorry, can’t comment on the Penne as I didn’t try it, but my friend said “it’s ok…”. The Atlantic Salmon was very dry and under seasoned. All the sides under the salmon were extremely oily. 3 of us ordered the Pork Shoulder but NONE of them looked the same, no consistency. One of them had a lot of sauce, where as mine had barely any. All of ours were extremely dry and tough to the point it can be pork jerky. The perogies were very doughy and it had no stuffing, very dry and no taste.
I understand that some restaurants have a plating fee when you bring your own cake, but at least they tell you. Brava did not mention anything about the plating fee.
We offered our serve a SLICE of cake but instead, he asked us if he can have the remaining of the cake (nearly half was left) to share with the others…wtf… We did end up giving them the cake since none of us were planning to bring it home nor eat it the next day…
The bill ended up to be nearly $300 for the six of us so ~$50. We did have a bottle of Persecco and a glass of Sangria. Overall, the service was great; we were never left looking around for our server when we needed him. Unfortunately the food was terrible. I will not be going again.
