I am not a Hamilton fanboy but I agree that the penalty is a bit harsh... I don't know how much leeway is written in to the rules, but perhaps a fair penalty for the first such infraction should have been to put him at the back of the qualifying group... i.e.; to the 10th grid spot in this case instead of at the back of the entire grid.

I wonder if Pastor Maldonado will be able to capitalize on starting in the pole position... Maybe he will finally be able to get a healthy load of points that he threw away in Melbourne.

Whatever, they were just going to fuck up his pit stops and put him out of the points anyway. At least now my expectations are lower.

This isn't his first time. Montreal it happened to Hamilton when the team underfueled him. He pushed his car down the back straight. The rules were clarified so there's a penalty if it happened again.

Coming from a McLaren fanboy.

Exciting race... Congrats to Williams. I didn't think they could win a race after their downward spiral in the past few years. Congrats also to Maldonado. Well deserved!

I wanted Kimi to take 2nd so bad :(
Good race, some good passing all around.

I still don't know how I feel about these tires.

We should start Hamilton at the back every race. What a charge to get into the points. That double pass on the Torro Rossos was pretty epic.

Who says you can't pass on the marbles? haha

Fuck, just found out about the fire. Great race though. That was quite the charge by Hamilton from the back. Pretty crazy in Q3 how the clouds affected the outcome so much.

Definitely NOT a Hamilton fan, but big props to the guy for charging through the field like that.

I'm loving F1 this year, it's actually not boring for a change. No more boring Vettel reign - great driver, but never liked him. Last season seriously sucked. This year's championship is still realistically open to almost half the field, and I expect we'll see Lotus with a win soon. Grosjean has been nearly as good as Kimi.

Can't wait to see how Monaco plays out in a couple weeks.
