Hey everyone,

So looks like someone decided to dent my car and ruin my day. here is a pic of the dent.

I know this picture is kind of bad but do you know if this is repairable? And if so who do you recommend?

I know this has been address in forums before and I found some people recommending dent boss and DNT. I just wanted to know your guys opinions based on my car. Thanks for the help!

How the hell does that even happen?! You'd think the handle would have protected the metal right beside it.

Weird.

I think the issue you're going to have is that it sits right on the crease. My understanding is that dents are far easier to repair with PDR when the dent is in the middle of a flat sheet of metal.

I had one right on the crease before. DNT fixed it for ~120, don't remember exactly. I can tell where it was but I doubt anyone else can tell. Yours looks worse than mine from the pic though.

Stop by and they can tell if they can fix it and how much.

Isn't no harm in bringing it in, even if it can't be 100% repaired, you can hopefully do some damage control so it doesn't rust or start chipping.

Probably some small dick douche in a lifted truck, had the corner of the door hit his car.

If you can't do PDR just go with a new door skin. It's not worth all the bondo.

I did contact tomco and he says pdr won't work on it. I checked with a couple other places and it's a no go. Ugh so mad...

@whiskas what is a door skin?

What do you guys recommend now? I am stuck to go to an autobody shop? How much would it cost me?

Best bet would be to replace the door.. Won't be cheap...

pfff dont replace the door haha.
take it to a shop, get it fixed/painted/blended.
I'll guess around the $500-700 mark.

Thanks for the info guys. I'm hoping it's gonna be in the 500ish range to fix. Do you guys have a good place in mind for this kind of work?

@canadian_hustla Did the guys at Chippy Auto do a good job on your car? Would you recommend them?

Chippy auto did a great job with the paint etc, nice thing about them is that they work in partnership with eco-dent works which is just down the street. (like 2 blocks away)

So in the morning I dropped off my car at chippy auto, they did some prep or whatever, they drove it to eco-dent, they fixed the dent, they drove it back to chippy auto... finished the paint work, washed the car, and it looks like it is a 9.5/10. My only hesitation is with eco dent works as they did not take out the dent completely... but close enough to pass.
