Looks to me like the car was 2 lanes over and decided to make an illegal 2-lane change.

Plus, if they thought it was the biker's fault then you'd think they would have stopped rather than just put on the brakes.

Mazda 3 was being a douchebag by making 2 lane changes quickly and doing it just get ahead. Biker may or may not have been a douchebag. He was either in the middle lane all along or was trying to also squeeze by.

Exact scenario happened to me on Deerfoot about 2 weeks ago where a guy merging cut across 3 lanes right at me on my bike and I had to go into the shoulder to miss him. Deerfoot is suicide for motorcycles with Calgary drivers. I was doing ~100 on the inside left lane as there were 4 lanes with the merge lane and had to cut a lane and a half to miss him without enough time to check if there was anyone in the left lane. Right after seeing that he just barely missed me he slowed down to below 100 for the rest of Deerfoot and so did everyone else that saw it...sad if that's what it takes people to realize.
