The Porsche Cayenne Turbo does 0-60 in 5.4 s. The Forester XT is already faster than that at 5.2 s. Why? The Cayenne weighs in chris farley-style @ 5192 pounds; the Forester only @ 3300lbs.

And that is a vanilla USDM XT, not this 300hp special edition STi XT beast.

Life isnt always about 0 to 60 and I doubt that the Forester would actually beat a Cayenne Turbo in real life. Interesting vehicle but of no comparison.

yes that would be a 2JZ in a mark II wagon aka cressida here.

a buddy of mine (i think hes on this board) has a forrester XT, I have yet to take a ride...but i hear its fast. hopefully he brings it out to the track this summer to see how fast it really is.

There isn't really much of a line between SUV and Wagon. SUV's are basically rugged wagons - tho most SUV owners don't like to think of them that way :tongue:

I'm looking at possible replacements for my car and one of the ones I like is the Magnum SRT-8:

430 HP, 470 lb.ft of torque :drool:

Can drive your family to the track, race (pick up the white slip), go furniture shopping, and drive back home, all in the same vehicle. I don't think its much of a sleeper though :tongue:

The new subaru Legacy GT looks like it will be a good candiate for sleeper. preliminary specs are 250hp which I am sure can be modified for more.

Wonder if they will bring the one off STi Legacy wagon to NA.

Thats not a sleeper. My god. talk to Karl (IH8V8S) on 780tuners. He has a 78 Mazda 808 wagon that looks like a pile of crap. All motor (no NOS) he ran 13.3 at the track here in edmonton. Just wait until this summer. He will be doing 11's. Now that thing is a freakin sleeper!:poosie:
