I am planning a trip (3 or 4 days?) to Kelowna in July. Any suggestion on where to stay and eat? I am planning on to visit a few wineries, any suggestion on that as well?

Visit Cheetahs, Roses is fun to party at night (way less douche crowd) and eat the the eldorado. During the day go to pandosy beach, sooooo many girls.

Stay:

Delta Grand-Walk to everywhere downtown, nice newly renovated casino, same property as Roses Pub

Manteo-Luxurious lake front resort, few restaurants within walking distance, quiet relaxing area, walking distance to most popular Gyro Beach (Pandosy beach)

Wine:

Mission Hill- Most established and arguably most beautiful winery in area, fantastic well organized tours

Summer Hill-"interesting" winery, owner believes that putting his wines in this huge temple alters them to greatness. Beautiful and excellent wine.

Quails Gate-My favorite of all the areas vineyards. Fantastic setting, wonderful tours and one of the top restaurants in the area.

Restaurants:
(Wont give descriptions as I guarantee you will be satisfied with every last one)

Raudz
Quails Gate
Waterfront Wines
Apple (@Manteo)
Gorgeous Georges Burgers(Great lunch spot)

Party:

Sapphire-Teeny Bopper night club, best one in town if you like that scene

Roses-Older pub like setting that quickly turns into a more night club/lounge spot

Flashbacks-Somewhere between sapphire and roses, night club with older crowd and areas to get away from the AM madness

Cheetahs-Upscale strip club, more fun than you might think, nice large booths etc.

Liquid Zoo-Biker style strip club, go if your looking for an adventure

Keloha a new music festival is also going on July 6-8 some decent artists in the lineup, beer gardens and a fantastic outdoor beach/island venue

Enjoy your trip!

Probably my favorites to eat and drink. I'll throw in Gray Monk for food and drink as well.

Mission Hill is definitely cool to see, but I don't like their wine, and have never eaten there.

If you can find Thornhaven, they have a cool little balcony to drink on and cheap, decent wine.

Cecil's Perogies is a "must eat" every time i go to Kelowna. I was eating those delicious perogies every day for the past 6 days.

I found Gray Monk had the best selection of free wine samples (vs. the other wineries with only basic pinot noir/blanc/gris samples). They are located about half hour north of Kelowna and have fewer wineries to visit in the area though.

For tours, we went on both Mission Hill (the large, white one) and Summer Hill (the pyramid) tours and found the Mission Hill one much more worth the money.

As for places to stay, my wife and I stayed at the Cove Lakeside Resort in West Kelowna last summer for our one-year anni. We've also been to the Monteo before, but found the Cove had nicer rooms and better amenities all around. It's also more private from the public so there's fewer people in the water around you if you're into water sports.

In town, I would say just walk around and absorb as much of the sights and sounds as you can find. July's going to be their busiest season so you're sure to find something of interest.

For food, I would recommend trying Twisted Tomato for their food and their awesome cedar rooftop balcony - located in downtown Kelowna on Bernard Ave. We also had our anniversary supper at the outdoor restaurant at Mission Hill (don't remember the name though), and their food was easily in the same league as Teatro's here in town; price will obviously be reflective of the class though.

Another thing is stop by the Bee place in Vernon. They sell mead now. I picked up a couple of bottles and it's good.

A great breakfast place is the DeDutch restaurants. The #8 farmers is freaking great.

If you want to break up the drive, you can stay in Revelstoke at the Swiss Chalet Motel. It's cheap, and nice. Good breakfast there.

I've also stayed at 3-Valley Gap one year with the ducati club, and it's pretty decent too.

There's a shitton of tourist stuff in Kelowna. From Croc Talk to the Parrot Sanctuary. Lots to do.

Edit.. there's also the Open Track days in Penticton now. They've brought in a bunch of high speed go carts, and all the associated gear. I went to the dwarf/hornet races last weekend and it was a lot of fun. http://www.pentictonspeedway.com/
