So onto another one - how about a tunnel in Calgary that people can drive their vehicles through.

Most definitely on private property, I've been through it with my vehicles although not in recent years - it's still there and very much operational, drove up to it's entrance within the last month.

Pretty sure that there's at least one quite active Beyonder who'll now where this is - would be a neat place for a photo shoot.

Nope, although that one is private I am pretty much sure you just can't drive up to the Stampede Park one and drive through.

The one I'm speaking of is quite accessible from a public road - I've never seen a security person in the area controlling access even though it is signed as private property.

Access right now might be difficult due to the current CPR labour situation.

The last time I drove through it was last year and I'm pretty sure theres a train track when you drive down that ramp. Atleast from what I remember.

Where 42 Ave crosses the tracks to the east of Ogden Road?

As for the barracks - gonna have to do more digging, most existing military barracks in Calgary would probably be at least 50 years old I would think, the trick here is if there are any that were outside of the area where most of know them to be as I can't imagine the Stampede owning anything down Currie Barracks way.

So another military find - was in this building today and lo and behold, it was used for 50 years as a munitions building for the Canadian Army. Built just before WW1 and it must have one of the slowest elevators I have ever had the pleasure of riding in - could've crawled up the 5 floors faster. Am quite certain that probably every Beyonder has driven by this building and many will probably drive right by it today or this week.

Speedog are you in rodent control? I got a cool one dont know how true it is but... its one of the most ballin manson in calgary it has a decoy house in the front and was owned by an alderman. I dont know about your new location but that barracks i posted was in use back in the 30's
