runs great then dies...

toyota 4 cylinder 1987 mr2. when i turn the key it starts right up, runs perfectly for about 6 seconds and then dies. this happens everytime, it just can't stay running. any ideas?

have you done any motor work to it recently? have lots of gas in the tank?....does it sputter then die, or is it as if you turned the key off??

it sputters and dies out. it has plenty of gas, and the gas is getting to the engine...no major work recently

check for pipes between the throttle body, and the Mass Air sensor.

if it sputters then it's probly fuel related. check the fuel pump.

have u check the engine oil? temperture of the engine
battery, clean is the key point, fuel is the problem too.:)
