Thats actually pretty nice. Im used to seeing the curb rash version of 'white walls'
Did it make the rims appear larger in person?

No, no, no! You don't know what you want! Luigi know what you want. Black-wall tires, they blend into the pavement, but these white-wall tires, they say look at me, here I am, love me.

Lots of companies still make white wall tires, in whatever sized whitewall you want & whatever tire size too obviously. I think its quite hard to find them past 20" though.

Yikes, way to ruin a somewhat good looking car. Looks like he pulled that tire & rim package from 1960's car. :nut:

The tires in the first post are "Vogues":

They always struck me as an odd blend of early 60's musclecar (redlines) and custom (narrow whitewalls).

Thanks, I remember seeing them years ago in the context of the 'VIP" trend.
There are companies that can vulcanize a whitewall onto a tire, like Diamond Back, who also carries an H-speed rated tire: http://www.dbtires.com/store/shoptire.cfm?size=16.00
And Coker does appear to carry at least one H-speed rated tire: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/COK-6764341/?rtype=10
Not much for low-profile applications that I've seen though, other than the Vogues. But for me wide whites are best used on cars built in a 50's and earlier style. And obviously lower profile sidewalls mean less room for the whitewall!
