View Full Version : Can someone tell me why my reply post was taken down?

I broke no rules as far as I can tell. I answered the OP question and made a helpful suggestion. No idea how to contact the Mods, besides last time I needed to contact them , they never replied. So why oh why?

Did you direct OP to a different site about the value of the item? It happened to me as well some time back, I responded to a post by asking the original poster to advertise on a differnt forum ( I don't have any connection to the other forum . It is another free canadian forum for audio related stuff ) and my post was removed and given a warning. - I feel your pain.

Did not direct the OP to any website. Maybe a mod might respond, certain it was in error the delete Nazi at work. I suspect no one cares in the home office.

roopi is right, it is not random, it is actually quite specific. I usually set my Post Deletion Roulette critera something like this:

Post must be
- posted on a Tuesday between 6:00 and 6:10PM
- title must include incorrect capitalization
- Forum section based on month: Jan=General, Feb=Current Events, etc.
- First sentence must contain at least nine vowels, with maybe some consonants in there somewhere
- Posting boobs excludes post from deletion
- Roll a D6 to determine how many times I re-nuke the post to ding their User Rating
- Post must have been made by Mar

See, isn't that easy?


But seriously OP, only the mod who nuked it will know why, I have no idea.

The mod that deleted it msg'd me and said he made a mistake. I fixed it and boosted the 2 user ratings up by 1%.

He thought it was a marketplace thread.

Mar is the only one that thinks his deletions are random. He also think's he's smart.

Sorry CanmoreorLess, that was my fault.

The thread looked exactly the same as the original forsale thread when I read it last night.

Cash Money Hoes did a copy and paste from Kijiji which was a copy and paste from Beyond http://forums.beyond.ca/st/354910/fs-rotel-b-w-home-theatre/

To me, at a quick glance, it looked like the same thread and it looked like a bunch of "Good luck with sale" messages.

I realized my mistake right away and sent a message to rage2 to have it corrected.
