Whats a decent type to buy? I don't know mcuh about these at all but figure I might as well buy one. Especially for the Edmonton trip. I've seen the Motorola ones and they look alright.

I get a pretty decent Discount on stuff at A&B sound, but The MOTOROLA FRS radios are pretty good, and the Cobras, But Buy one with subchannels!!! #1 priority.

Expect to pay anywhere between maybe 60 to 130 each, some are better than others of course, but as long as it has subchannels and use with more than just its own make, you are good to go (Motorola or cobra)

Maybe I'll try and find a set where I get two. Then I can lend one to people who don't have one. They'd work great when my friends and I go on road trips. Beats using our cell phones!

Well, through Telus I get cost +15% at anything at A&B, but I'm sure if I went in there with a corporate letterhead sayoing I want X many, they would get us a good deal.

im not sure if there is a special group price
but my discount is usally around cost +10 points
i will look into group buy pricing if a&b offers it

Well, Chinook has a shitty selection as Trev and I discovered last night...

HRD2PLZ got a motorola jobbie, its a maroon color for 59 bucks, it has sub channals and stuff. I think it was the T5400.

There are also a pair of them which come on a nice dual recharge stand for 140 bones...they looked like a model or two up from the one H2P got.

Meah, I would check out A&B Sound and such, I'm sure they would have a better selection.

Radio Shaft had crappy RS branded ones, so beware the Shack.

Looking back now, I prolly shoulda got the package that came with 2 radios and a desktop charger. :dunno: oh well, mine should do the job. Its a T5200 :thumbsup:
