Preferably somewhere at or near the vicinity of the Devonian Gardens, and Theater Calgary/Jack Singer Concert Hall. This will be on a Saturday.

Nothing too extravagant and expensive, and nothing too cheap and dank either. I'm just taking out a female friend, so I don't really want anything that says "romance!" just like that, but I don't want anything that says "cheapskate" either.

Thanks guys.

River Cafe is a nice casual place.

River Cafe ain't exactly "economical", but I'd say they have good food there.

You should try their Cheesecake. I believe they are $12 a piece. So good, yet so expensive.

Moxies at the Sandman Inn? 7th AVE and 8th ST.

There is a TON on Stephen Avenue. Try Earls at Bankers hall. Reasonable and A clean Urban Atmosphere.

- Saltlik (reasonable lunch menu)
- Murriettas (classy... but not overpriced)
- Piqniq (nice cafe atmosphere)
- The Chowder House (if she likes seafood)

I just went to Saltlik on Saturday night and I was impressed. Unbelievable service. My gf's steak was slightly undercooked(she wanted medium rare... it was more rare than she'd like) and they took it off of the bill! Free $30 steak, can't go wrong hehe.

The food was good, the dessert was great and it was fairly quiet.
