"It's just speculation. If you look at our record, the practice typically has been to decrease taxes, not increase them."

My opinion -> :bullshit:

From what i remember GST was put in place to help out with something, i can't remember what it was, but that problem was addressed and we still have GST. Someone help me out here.

Your right it was put in place so Members of Parliament could get larger hotel rooms.

I can't remember either. But it sucks- lately everything has been going up but wages. Atleast we don't have PST in Alberta. That would make things so much worse.

Lucky!! My ass... If you didn't have a good Provicial Government that actually pay's down the debt, you'd be paying PST like everyone else.

Dont hold your breath, I can see that becomming a reality!:banghead: :madred:

What a bunch of losers we have in office, what pisses me off is that Jerkoff running this country can do as he pleases and say as he wishes, and he doesn't represent the majority! He made an ass out of canada this last week or two with the Kyoto and Iraq talks, representing all 28 or 33 or whatever percent of the country voted him in...:banghead:

I think most of the people in the western provinces won't be sad to see him go. Too bad they don't use the vote of non-confidence on him.

there should be the rule like in the states with no more than 2 consecutive terms in office. Hes fucked this country up far enough, lets give someone else a swing at the Pinata, beating all the money out of the people and provinces and leaving us in the trash!:banghead:

Other countrys look at canada like a Laughing joke of a country...I'm sick of the image the east has protrayed to the world.

hahaha, i agree. I think he's a little dumb, but I think he's the best choice out of all of them. As for more taxes? I wouldn't mind paying a little more to make at least some sort of a millitary here, but I doubt much money would go to that anyway.

At least our country isn't being lead by some retarded hick :p

Alberta has the best provincial gov't in Canada, we have the lowest debt and the strongest provincial economy, how could you not want to vote for PC, if PC was running the country, then alberta's strength would spread through the whole country making us stronger and better world players in the market.

Um... The PC's aka Brian Mulroney and the libs aka Pierre Elliott Trudeau were the jackasses in the 70's & 80's that put all the taxes on our oil and gas nearly sinking our economy.

Money isn't everything. Personally, I'd rather have my tax money going to helping people of my country. So say that if the PC party of alberta led the country, our country would become much more like the US. Is that what you want?

BTW, I found this article. I highly doubt we'll see a 10% GST
