So I assume that there will be many crashes and I dunno, the drivers like fall out of the car as they are driving or something.

Thank goodness thats not here. The sad part is their will probably be a large number of people in Ontario benifiting from this, even if it is from CT.

"The $799 Beginner Driver’s course..."

Yeah I don't think we'll be seeing an increase in good Asian drivers on the road (awaiting quorum reply)

I dont think there is anything wrong with this, The general public needs to know more about the car that they drive. People are retarded when it comes basic things like checking their engine oil. So what if its from ukrainian tire, Its still licensed techs that have the exact same credentials as every other mechanic in Canada.
The course is too expensive, but I think its a really good idea.
The more educated the better.

Yeah, but Canadian Tire mechanics are also retarded when it comes to checking oil and pretty much anything to do with cars... they are almost consistently deemed the worst mechanic shop in every city whenever they get audited.

I'm 100% with everyone on this. I went to CT to buy some steelies...BUY, not install...and they test fit the steelies before selling them to me (which was good to know they would fit). Finish up, put the steelies in my trunk and doubled checked that they put my lock nut back. NOPE! They lost my lock nut for the lugs. Took them 30 min to realise that the mechanic left it on his impact gun.

General knowledge for the public is great, but they should be taught by people who wont cheat you and are trusted by the general public.

Good idea, horrible institute.

By no means am I standing up for ct, but you need to look at it for what it is. Crappy tire attracts shitty techs because its gravy work and you can make huge money there. If your a moron and cant diagnose you ass from your foot, but you can pound out a set of ball joints in 2 hours its the place for you. For bacis vehicle maintenance you dont have to be teaching people about CAN buss and runability diagnostics, you need bacis stuff. And that is exactly what ct is good at.

AA2001, every shop forgets wheel locks. It happens alot more than you think.
