I have a specific Tacori ring picked out that I can get online for $2,850. However, I still need a diamond. Where can I find a jewler in this city that will put their diamond into my ring?

I would recommend Intergem labs. These guys make custom rings and they do a lot of high end stuff. They know their stuff and you can see them but by appointment only.

+1 more vote for Justin, or I guess the next best option would be Maxime's who sells Tacori in town, is there a big price advantage to buying the ring online?

www.bluenile.ca to compare diamond prices as well if you want. I bought my whole engagement ring and wedding bands on there for a fraction of the cost of local retailers. Would still need someone to set your rock if your buying separately, but since you said you needed a rock still, figured I post it up if you weren't already aware of bluenile

I ordered a really nice diamond from diamond.com the diamonds are straight from the diamond exchange in NYC, its sent to Montreal, then to Calgary. So you dont have to pay any brokerage fees (just GST on the diamond)

try diamondsonweb.com their prices are pretty reasonable and their band designs are pretty nice
