I was given my first car, so this is all new to me guys. Sorry.

I am an AMA member. They do it don't they?

Where else (IN Calgary, not Carfax or something) can I get a VIN checked out for leans and stuff?

Thanks in advance!

Pete

Any Motor Registry branch will be able to do a VIN check for you.

Actually there's a website you can go. It's really cool. You just enter in the VIN and it gives you a complete breakdown of each letter/number in the VIN.
ie, it will tell you where the car was made, year, options, etc. Very cool. I don't have it on me (I'm at work), but if you want, I'll post the URL here.

That would be cool. I think he wanted to do a lien search on the car though.

Damn.. sorry, I check, but the site only deals with BMW VINS. I think a good thing to do is search for "vin decoding" on Google. That's how I found the site for my car...
Good luck!
