A live television programme in Jordan descended into chaos, with a politician threatening an opponent with a gun.

The debate between MP Mohammad Shawabka and political activist Mansour Murad became heated after the two men traded insults with each other.

The politician then hurled his shoe at Mr Murad and brandished a pistol at him.

No shots were fired and no-one was too seriously hurt.

The world and the people had changed with no respect, it's very unprofessional.

highly pathetic that people who's job is to think of ideas to better serve the public, then not be able to accept other idea with rational thought.

the more this happens the more sheep will fallow the less likely peace is.

Maybe its not about 'serving the public'...

Not seeing much rational thought from the region.

Well... At least they are passionate about their stances.

Its better than Rob Anders sleeping through your request for clean drinking water.
