What is he trying to do by backing up and then forward again?

I think he was trying to move from the left hand land to the right hand lane as it might have the most clearance.

That's what I assumed but it still didn't look like it would clear.

he should have deflated his tires if he was only dealing with a few inches needed to get underneath

With some of the bad drivers we have in Calgary, I'm surprised that someone/something didn't get hit by the traffic behind.

How long did it take for CPS to show up?

The CPS were stuck behind the shit show... but snuck up the shoulder.... I waited about 2 minutes before wipping out the camera.

Are these guys fined for that?

I dont know, I didnt stick around long enough to find out .... my guess is no, since they DIDNT strike the bridge.... but maybe a CPS member could answer that. The guys that showed up on scene were not traffic so they are normally less likely to issue a ticket.

i haul those quite often and when you get a permit for them they give you a routeing for it...and deflate the tires? no, you deflate the airbags on the tractor and trailer.. we haul those on tromebone trailers and without the ac units on the roof you have lots of clearance down deerfoot.. but this shack has roof ac and should have been routed down 84th to stoney, he should not have been on deerfoot and my guess is dont have proper knowledge to haul it..

i doubt he will get fined for it as they will back him up to 17th and sent down blackfoot to the petro truck stop to turn around( most likly) but if he didnt pull a permit to haul that he will be fined!

**edit** rewatched and reason he looks way over height is because he has the shack up on the kick of the trailer..so it sits around 2 feet higher.. he is screwed to make it under that bridge even draining air... but i will give him kudoos for not hitting the bridge.. those shacks explode haha!!

haha ya, definitely the wrong trailer to haul a shack of that length
