TW Steel $799

TW Steel Special Edition $799

The Concord is about $11k. How big is your tax refund? :)

Meister and Nixon are in the same market segment (see my post in the Friday Wrist Shot thread). TW Steel is a little more upscale.

Dumbass17

yeah i figured the concord would be over $5000
that one is out, i don't want to spend over 800

Out of curiosity, what do you guys think of the Meister watches? If they pick up in popularity in Canada, I might commission a limited edition Beyond model.

As much as I would love to do a limited Hublot for forum members, I doubt I can find 20 people to blow $20k on a watch.

Meister's alright. Some of them look great actually. Not a fan of the ones with really funky colors though, but a limited edition Beyond model would be cool. I'd like one.

I've got the Matte Black/ Gold 51-30 Chrono. Its a pretty sick watch, however I barely wear it due to the size (plus im sketched about scrathes). TW is meh. I'd probably stick to the 51-30, but not the PU.

BTW

This one is cheaper then $549, from where im at anyways.

i run a 51-30 as well, love it, wear it all the time! mine has a metal strap as im not a fan of leather/fabric straps

argh thanks for the input
now i have more watches to look at!

i've never had a leather strap on a watch that lasted. i do like the rubber straps.

currently i rock this daily. i get compliments on it all the time, which i thoroughly enjoy haha

Something like the watch flipstah mentioned would be good, I could use a black watch. I'd be interested in a special Beyond addition haha.

As for the OP, I Like rose gold so the TW Steel gets my vote.

What about bulova precisionist? second hand sweeps like a swiss mechanical, but is a highly percise japanese quartz movment.

Took a look at some Lum-Tecs online and didn't like Em. Also looked at those Bolivia but don't feel them.. But thanks for the suggestions.. Any others?

also i like the meister rose gold, but i don't think i'll be able to see the clock hands easily enough. that was a problem i had with my Vestal watch and so i never wear it...

I`d be in for a Beyond Meister, would be unique to have and help drive Meisters business if anything and help develop their Canadian clientele. Assuming its only a few hundred, so the not so baller Beyonders like myself can afford :nut:

+1

the only thing that bugs me on that watch is the large crowns being on the right side. When I tried it on when they first came out, the crown digging into my veins was an immediate turn off.

If I were not to buy an automatic and want a modern "chunky" sports watch... from a name more synonomous with the real watch brands (non nixon, kenneth cole, dkny garbage)

I'd go with the Movado Bolds... they are about the $700 range

http://www.ablogtoread.com/movado-bold-watches-hands-on/

ercchry

honestly, i would only be in on adding the beyond watch to my collection if it was in the sub-$200 range.

if im spending more on a watch im not going to get one that will only be getting you nerds wet

i dont know why, but ive always associated Movado's as sub par type watches, i just plain dont like them i guess.

but i do agree that if you are going to spend 800 on a watch, go with a higher end brand name, even look for used ones that you may like, you could get a nice used TAG for 800....

I would not get those Bold's. Movado is mostly known for class and simplicity so the Bold line is counter-culture.

If you're spending that much moolah, you can get some used Omega's for that price or less. 3

though I agree... I'm was not fan of Movado other than the original musem and the Eliro

I'd sooner get a Rado, which I don't like but are in thesame class category, and concidering that the majority of Movado are quartz

that being said... the Bold Titanium (sandblasted) 46mm watches are surprisingly handsome and appealing in person...

I'm just saying that for that price range, it is a "high-fashion" watch from a brand more in line with a higher end watch than spending $600 on a Bulova, Hamilton, Tissot, Swiss Army, Seiko... let alone one from a Tommy Hilfiger/Dkny POS

Thanks man.
i honestly spent a solid 2 hours online staring at the different color combinations for this watch. it was between this one, a creme one and a blueish one but since i actually tried on the gunmetal and saw it in person i decided on it. and they are HUGE. 58mm
these are the other ones i liked if you're interested (http://www.watchismo.com/diesel-dz4269.aspx & http://www.watchismo.com/diesel-dz4252.aspx)

Stainless steel should be easy to clean. Plated metals give a worn out look, which maybe the case for you.

Not entirely sure.
