Awesome, can't wait for it. Seems like Nolan is DC's go to visionary guy.

That trailer looked wicked until the last few seconds.

Thats my biggest problem with Superman movies. He's just way too powerful to be believable. Batman and even Spiderman work because the origin story is a lot more "grounded". I don't see how a Superman movie can be gritty and real when he is an alien that can basically do whatever he wants.

I sense a movie with an identity crisis coming. It'll be like watching The Avengers trying to be Dark Knight. It just doesn't work as a "realistic" story line but at least Marvel realized this and set a lighter tone to all those movies and cast them amazingly well... Robert Downy Jr. as Ironman was probably the best casting decision ever made by a studio.

Nolan is involved, it will be good. Did it play with TDKR for anyone? I didn't get any trailers both times I went to Imax.

Never been a fan of the DC universe, however The Watchmen kicked serious ass.

Nolan producing with Snyder directing looks like a home run.

No trailer in IMAX - it just goes straight to the movie. I think selected movies that is shown in IMAX do not have any previews.

X2 no trailers for IMAX.

Search for the other trailer. Exact same except Jor-El doing the voice over.

You ain't a superman fan until you've watched Superman Adventures, Justice League and JLA unlimited from Bruce Timm.

If you're a fan and have kids Maxboost you really owe it to yourself to watch anything by Bruce Timms.

Also my friend blew my mind that Michael Shannon was also in Badboys 2 lol

Faora looks like she will be played PROPERLY for once... big evil bitch queen of the universe type character

That, and Antje Traue is kinda hot  :poosie: (for reference, the character has a nice badassery line at 1:12 in that "Fate of the Planet" trailer)

Don't get your hopes up. I saw this last night, it really doesn't live up to its potential. It's down to 61% on RT, and I wouldn't be surprised if it slips further.

PS - there wasn't a scene after the credits

Vagabond142

If it's a good action flick, then I'll be happy :) The only comic book movie that's coming out in the next while that I will be disappointed in if it really sucks is X-Men: Days of Future Past next year.

If I get to see Superman open a can of whoopass on some Kryptonian baddies, then hey, popcorn movie! :D

I enjoyed but thought it could have been better. I think the problem is I hyped myself too much watching the trailers. Too bad they didn't setup a World's Finest or JL movie after the credits.

It wasn't bad, I thought the action sequences did a lot of rinse and repeating, and the movie felt like it was dragging towards the end. Character development was pretty well done.

I liked it. A little of the story felt forced (mostly to do with Lois Lane and Kal-El), but on the whole, I liked it a hell of a lot more than I liked Iron Man 3.

Also, Faora... :poosie:  One of the best baddie women in recent memory. Kicks ass and takes no names :P

it could be from the hype that i built up from the trailers haha

i thought it was an ok movie but IMO didn't live up the hype.

once thing I don't get is how the ghost Jor-El can communicate to them like he was alive and knew everything that was happening

how did Clark knew that he needed to go all the way up (I think Alaska?) to find the spaceship buried in the ice

I felt the same way. I felt there were 2 movies going on: one about Kal-El and his transition to adulthood/Superman and one movie about Aliens invading the Earth. It felt they tried to cram too much into the movie.

The action scenes were good, but I felt alot of what was going on was a bit rushed considering they tried to fit a shit load of story into a 2.5 hour film. I would see a sequel, because it will be more focused on the current story of Clark/Kal, rather than both history and current story.

The "ghost" of Jor-El is actually an AI programmed with a part of Jor-El's consciousness. No, I don't know how they did it, but I assume when Jor-El created the key, it somehow did a mind scan or something of him and uploaded it to the key.
