Synopsis from IMDB
An exploration of how the actions of individual lives impact one another in the past, present and future, as one soul is shaped from a killer into a hero, and an act of kindness ripples across centuries to inspire a revolution.

I like that concept.

Still looking forward to it.

holy shit, at first I thought Lana Wachowski was a sister to the Wachowski bros that I didn't know about... then I googled and realized she IS one of the Wachowski bros. :nut:

My mind has been blown, and I haven't even seen the movie yet.

one of these days they'll but out a Wachowski version of Dragonball Z or Dragonball (forget GT), not that toilet water rape juice asshat version that Hollywood put out a few years ago

That'd be sweet. I loved DB and DBZ back in the day, but I never bothered watching that movie.

Do.
Not.
Watch.
It.

I wanted to smash my head into a wall. I can sit through some bad movies but Dragonball was terrible... just .... so bad.

Cloud Atlas will finally be out in a few days, anyone else thinking about going to see it?

I have about 200 pages left to read in the book so I have to wait until next week to see it. Can't fucken wait, the book is awesome so far. So many damn characters hah. If you look at the iMDB cast, you'll see that most of the actors play at least 2 or 3 characters.

yep I saw it last week. I forgot to update the thread.

I personally really liked it, I will def. be watching it multiple times because I thought it was well done. Since I read the book, it was a lot easier for me to follow the movie so i was able to just watch it without over thinking it which allowed me to enjoy it.

But I can see why some people that didn't read the book didn't like the movie. If you miss some details it could throw off the rest of the movie, like how one story connects to another. But as long as you pay attention (especially to the character names), you'll be fine.

Roger Ebert gave it a pretty good summary. better than what I can write... LINK (http://rogerebert.suntimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=%2F20121024%2FREVIEWS%2F121029991)

I think it's def. one of those movies that gets better which each viewing.

I enjoyed the movie and I didn't read the book before hand, but I did buy it.

I can see how it can be confusing if you don't pay attention to the little details, but even then it was a nice change from the usual Hollywood crap that gets put out all the time.
