No, I didn't see much from speeders, but I understand that it was kinda a last minute thing. I didn't hear anything over the announcement system for it either.

The first hairpin don't go that wide stay close to the barrier and let off the gas to get the car turning.

It's really hard to critique your lines because you really don't have one...you're different every lap. Find a line where you're comfortable and consistent...the line that works for me isn't necessarily the same one that everyone else uses, but here's my corner by corner run down:

1 - 2: you're going REALLY wide for a race speed race, you can go through 1-2 mid track or even more to the right and you're not losing any speed.

3. Straight line the back straight "chicane" and just keep going straight until you turn into three, no need to go wider, again, you're not gaining anything, and you're making the track longer. 3 is a textbook corner really...I turn in just as the wall starts to round in to the corner, then try to almost touch the wall right at the mid point, and I try to exit 3 mid track since that's where I want to be for my entrance to 4.

4. Enter mid track, this corner is trickier than 3 and has more influence on your lap time in my opinion just based on how you exit it, I turn into 4 late, like just before the furthest that the inside wall sticks out, and I still try for the same apex point, but unlike 3 I don't let the kart come away from the wall. Hug the wall from the apex all the way around until it straightens out again. when it bumps out for the entrance to turn 5 I ignore it and just keep going straight.

5. I let off just after the wall bumps out, turn in, back on the throttle and then let the kart carry all the way back out to the outside wall.

That's my take on the lap at speeders, and there's a couple different schools of thought on every corner, so take it all with a grain of sand.

A couple other things...we all like to think we're Mario Andretti in training and it's faster to keep your foot to the floor all the time, but the karts really don't have that high of a cornering limit. In race speed every screech, and every time you feel that kart skip is all tenths off your lap time. Every time you start to slide mid corner, and the kart won't hold the line you're trying to do you're losing more speed than you're making up by keeping it floored. Every time you start to slide let off the throttle then back on it again...the weight shift will reweight the tires and you'll be able to hold your line, and not lose speed.

Do you hold the gas the entire time? I think you drive to wide and the understeer on your way out.

Went yesterday, stepped in at 12 and we had to wait 1/2 hour to race already haha.

Also some old guy in a white Buick Century/Regal tried to run my dad down in the parking lot, we parked in the far far south corner and there was literally no cars in a 100 foot wide parking and he aims straight for my dad walking to the door and starts yelling at him for walking in front of cars, not cool.

Went for the first time yesterday, what a blast! I killed it yesterday (I think).

2nd (21.991), 1st (21.885), 1st (21.768), 1st (21.534). Judging by some of the lap times others are putting in, I'd say I'm up there. Will be going back soon for sure!

Was there for a corporate event yesterday. We had some horrific traffic to deal with, like the one guy who was a 26 second lap every time, but still had a blast. Turns out I suck. I was pretty consistent at laying down 22.4 or 22.5 laps. I really didn't have a feel for the Kart though, I was sliding all over the place, which I know isn't fast.

I'll be going back, possibly next week for another corporate event.

Drive conservative for your test, no need to try to go for the best time right away. Just make sure you get through the test cleanly, it'll also give you a feel for the extra speed. I find that i have to use the brakes for all 3 corners on the "back side" of the track. You will have to brake early for turn 1 (or turn 3 i think what some others call it) basically right after you pass through the chicane.

Also, the first couple laps will be greasy as heck.. the tires are stone cold and its easy to get the rear end to lose grip with the extra speed.

Got 2nd place in the 1st race and then 1st place in our second. Ended up having a fastest lap time of 20.08.
There were 5 of us a group of 6 people who were terrible drivers so we had to pass them like crazy and we got slowed down alot by them. Would have been great to have the track to ourselves but it was fairly busy today. I will definitely be back though, alot of fun!

I was there this past sunday. It was the same, I set a top 3 for the year at 19.183( i know its only a month and a half in haha). Man I love this place, finally got my prospeed as well.
