Sweet! I never played the video game and I'm not normally into horror flicks, but I really enjoyed the first one. I was surprised it took this long to come out with the sequel.

Glad they took their time with the sequel...loved the first one and really stoked to see this one!

Likewise. I hate 3D, I typically find it adds NOTHING to the film other than effects trying to focus to be in your face too much (and typically failing terribly...).

I knew Sean Bean couldn't survive forever! ;) (face it, he dies in everything and I was shocked when he survived the 1st movie lol).

I enjoyed the first one, but this one doesn't look like it'll be good. I really hope I'm wrong.

I feel the same way.. I dont see it having the same intensity as the first one but as long as it has the creepyness of the first one ill be happy with it.

Man I remember the long nights when Silent Hill dropped for PS1, my hands would shake violently when playing cause of the music. There was this one part in the school where you'd walk by the row of lockers and then it'd bang so loudly like someone was stuck inside, you'd get your character to open it up and only a bunch of blood would rush out. :eek:

Like the rest of you, I also enjoyed the first one. Can someone tell me why only the daughter is in this movie but not the mother?

Wasn't she stuck in the other world or whatever it was? I remember it ended with her at home, but she could not see her family.

Silent hill was the name of the town I'm pretty sure. Not sure what the other dimension/world was called.

Silent Hill is the town. There are different interpretations of how the first movie ended. I believe it ended with them being stuck in limbo and they are both dead.

It was okay, I suppose. The ending was a bit anti-climatic and the CGI sucked.

I liked it.. nowhere near the orignal but there are few follow ups that are. The 3D wasnt nearly annoying as i was expecting and I sat in those seats that move so that added to the movie. Definitely worth checking out!
