Big Brother is one step closer to getting all 1984 on several lucky Canadians.
Slice, Big Brother’s Canadian broadcaster, released details for a series of cross-country auditions Monday morning.
Beginning August 1, Canadian exhibitionists can put themselves in the especially network’s spotlight by either auditioning online at bigbrothercanada.ca or in person at one of the following five tour stops (venues to come):
Sept. 23 — Vancouver
Sept. 30 — Calgary
Oct. 7 — Halifax
Oct. 7 — Montreal
Oct. 14 — Toronto
“Big Brother has been a top performer on Global for over a decade,” Barbara Williams, senior vice-president of content, Shaw Media said in a statement. “Canadians love the format and we are so excited to offer them the chance to participate in the newest edition right here on our own turf.”
According to the press release Slice is looking for Canadians 19-year-of-age and older who are “extroverts, conformists, risk takers, adventurers, romantics, leaders, plotters and planners, and those who don’t mind a little healthy competition.”
If that sounds like you (or someone you can fake to be long enough to win), online submissions will be accepted until October 16, 2012.
Big Brother Canada is slated to debut on Slice in winter 2013.
