Went to Cibo with my girlfriends on August 2nd and it was quite packed! was told they opened in May or June?
We started off with 3 scodellina (1 for $4, 3 for $11, 5 for $18) – shrimp, bruschetta, and roasted eggplant (from left to right).

The shrimp was crunchy, but it was quite flavorless. The bruschetta was my favorite, lots of flavour. You couldn’t taste the eggplant; I actually thought it tasted more like spaghetti and meatballs. There is definitely not enough crostini for the spread, we ended up ordering extra and it took quite a while for it to come out.
We then had the gnocchi and farfalle. The gnocci came with lots of spinach and cheese, but not much pasta. The texture was ok, but it was quite blend; and it tasted more like dumplings.

The farfalle was way better. The amount was generous and there were lots of different flavours and textures. I really like the addition of pine nuts.

Lastly we had the wild boar bacon pizza (left) and the sausage pizza (right). I was contemplating whether to order the pizza or not as most the pizza pictures on urbanspoon were burnt…

When we got our pizza (around 12 inches each), the crust for the wild boar was great, but the sausage one was somewhat burnt and tasted like charcoal. The topping for the wild boar bacon was very salty and there was minimal meat. The broccolini in the sausage pizza was very moderate and the caramelized onions were quite sweet. We liked the topping on the sausage pizza more but the crust for the wild boar bacon was way better. However, we all believe that you can get better pizza at UNA or Double Zero.
The server frequent our table a lot was very nice and friendly. All the workers that I encountered there were very friendly.

We each paid $23 (tips & GST included) for the 4 of us.
Overall it’s a nice place to try! I will definitely be going back to try other items on the menu.
