my girlfriend parked in kensington and got a ticket, they also left a vehicle seizure notice. The ticket is $40, but she got back to her car before the car was towed and got out of the spot. oddly enough, the other car parked behind her in the same no parking zone had no ticket or notice :dunno:

will this just be a $40 ticket, or will they try to ding her for the seizure notice when she goes to pay it?

I would ask the parking authority but they are closed today.

It is probably an abandoned vehicle notice. All that is required for one of these to be issued is the belief that the vehicle is abandoned.

If it is, she had 72 hours from the time of issue to move the vehicle of it would be removed. There would be a date/time on the notice, a location and a statement saying that it would be removed if not moved within the time frame.

She should just be on the hook for the parking ticket.

It was for parking in a bus zone, but all 3 copies of the seizure notice were on the windshield with the ticket. From the looks of it, the truck was en route when she moved the car.

Likely both got the notice - but you might not have seen the other - officers fold things differently - even experienced tow truck operators have a hard time finding the tow bill on occasion...

And no - other are no other charges, just the ticket...

Seizure notice is placed on windshield when either cops gotta go, or CPA are towing a load of vehicles. Its primarily for the tow operator. If you got it before tow truck showed, you have great timing and avoided a tow. Keep it as a souvenir. ;)

Nope!!, your the one that got away. They just tow them to get the car gone. If you have already moved it, then problem solved!
