Oh man I do not recall the last two reps being that difficult. I blame it on the fact I did it at 4am in the morning haha

Enjoy, critique, etc.

105X5 Press, albeit ugly is not bad for a 145lb dude eh

Do you get pressure in your lower back when you do this lift? When I perform this lift I get this compression feeling in my lower back that I have to stretch out every set.

Good job by the way. That is pretty good weight to body weight ratio for that lift

I find the belt really helps when lifting close to the max. Also don't forget to squeeze the glutes to help keep the core tight. Protect your back!

well done! 1rm should be close to bw, which is pretty badass. time for some handstand pushups

how wide is your grip? It doesn't look like your arms are straight when you have it over your head or it could be the angle (looks like there is a little bend).

Belt helps eh? When I do that exercise my back is arched so badly it's not pretty.

Good job. 4 am and nothing to do huh.

My grip isn't that wide but my arms are full locked out. Yea 4am so bored. Must have been all the energy from badminton.

a press is really good for building a solid core. i personally try not to use a belt because it kind of hinders that progress

Good weight for your body comp.

The only thing I would say is it can be really hard on your wrists to keep the load supported when they are bent like that. Either rack the weight on your shoulders between reps and then drive or keep your wrists locked and straight. Guarantee the lift will be harder but I think it can save your wrists in the long run.

Just my 2 cents

You should be grabbing the bar in the same position you do front squats and deadlifts. The only thing I see wrong is that you unracked the bar then immediately started to lift. You should flex everything in this order before your initial push

Calves
Quads
Glutes
Core
Lats

Pushing some sick weight tho. Clean up your tech and you can prob throw
Another 5-15 pounds on there

1) You're not tight enough

2) Lacking shoulder mobility

3) Drive your head forward just after the bar passes your forehead. Notice Max's head.

4) Follow Warcaster's Advice on Full body Tension Above.

Good lift except your wrist form is terrible and will prevent you from lifting much more. You need your fist/grip right in line with your forearms. That is a stable column of power. Your wrist cocked back like that is a very weak link.

Also, your breathing is bad. Breathe out for the whole motion as soon as you start to push and inhale big on the negative.

Yea I've been getting real sloppy with technique and breathing. Duly noted. Thanks gang.
