I herd a Tanabe HM for the first time a couple days ago and just loved the sound. Its got that low throaty tone and thats exactly what I am looking for. IMO the N1 is too loud.

Buh_buh, i went and found a sound clip of a GReddy Evo and those sound real nice too, but a couple of guy on carreview.com said that on a prelude in the hi-rev range the Evo sounds really ricey, so I am still not sure.

The tanabe just sounds smooth to me, plus it doesn't hurt that is full SS.

Yeah I think the Greddy Evo is probably the nicest sounding exhaust for a Prelude. But then again I've never heard it at WOT either. I think probably all N/A Hondas regardless of exhaust (except Mugen) will sound ricey at WOT. If you think the N1 is too loud you can just go and buy the silencer;)

The good thing about my N1 is that its cheap! haha. And if you want to go out and spend another $20 on a silencer it'll sound quieter than both of those exhausts. I had the silencer on my car before and liked it way better with than without. Then cocoabrova jacked it from me:D

If you like deep throaty exhaust note, try to find an Thermal R&D one... very nice and on the plus side, it almost looks stock!
