Hi,
I am an undergraduate Statistics student at U of A and I want to take the BGIS program at SAIT after I graduate.

- With Statistics background, will I able to get a GIS-related job after I graduate from the BGIS program at SAIT?
- Does SAIT help you find an employment?
- How is it like to work as a GIS specialist?

I want a good job for my future but I feel like my undergradaute degree is useless and I am thinking of BGIS because it only takes 1 year of classroom instruction and 1 year of work experience.

any insights on this?

thanks

Dont know much about the GIS system at SAIT but I imagine that a Bachelors degree in statistics from U of A should give you far more credibility than a SAIT diploma.

if you're good with arc gis, sql, and can do some c++ and vb, you'll have good chance of landing a good gig to start
