I need some super fine soldering done on an electric board. I trust my skills at soldering wiring but don't think this is something I could easily and safely do.

I've tried googling but I haven't come up with much. Is there any shops you gusy can recommend or someone one beyond that can do this sort of stuff?

Can you explain what you need. Is it soldering a part onto a board or just a reflow?

I've got a Metcal rework station so I can do some pretty fine pitch stuff, but I don't usually touch other people's stuff.

I'm pretty sure someone on here does SMT repair. I think I similar question was asked not too long ago in the computer/electronics forum. Do a search.

Edit: can't seem to find the post... could have sworn there was something... oh well I'm sure someone will step up.

It would honestly involve wiring a wire to a gas tube. 1 single wire. The connector is absurdly small though.

I modded a couple ps2's back in the day. Kind of looks something like that. Some of those solder points were tiny.

Similar or ?

Thats the general idea of the precision required :)

More like soldering the tube of an old flash my dad had. Couldn't figure out why it wouldn't fire. took it apart and the wire that is soldered to the tube isn't connected. Upon physically connecting the wires it would work but not very efficiently.

can you take a pic of the two connections that need to attach?

Can try to. I disassembled the piece from the rest of the unit already to make it easier.

Similar or ? I've done PS2's too- I now consider most 'tough' soldering jobs to be a piece of cake lol.
