Hey Everyone,

Headed over next week and I've never been. I'm looking to have some suits made there, any reccomendations?

I guess I should add I don't speak any Chinese if that affects reccomendations.

Thanks!

Asia isn't actually that great for suits. You can get a good suit made in HK (W.W. Chan is supposed to be quite good) but it's not going to be cheap. Make sure to consider taxes on the way back.

Definitely do not go to the brown guys on the street asking every white guy they see to buy a suit lol.

Ask Men had Raja Fashions (#9) and Ascot Chan (#2) on their top 10 international tailors.

Not sure if you have first hand experience with these "brown dudes" but my dad has been a few times and he always gets 3-4 tailor made suits from one brown guy and he does an awesome job, and at a great price for tailor made suits <$400 with one free shirt per suit I think. They save your measurements and you can even email them and they will send you more shirts/suits etc.

Google Maxwell Tailors, they are located in HK.

They also come to Vancouver like 3 times a year.

I think I may have went to the same brown dude. He did my suit and it seems pretty good so far. I got a suit done for $250, and fits pretty good.

It should take 4-5 days as a minimum with a couple of fittings. Be particular on your fitting.

Also be aware of the bait and switch on the fabric. They will show you the best then sell you the rest.

If you want dress shirts then there are plenty that ship around the world
