View Full Version : Who loves Burpees?

Well last night I had the pleasure of partaking in a rather rough workout. I know a lot of people on beyond are trying to get into shape so I figured I would share it here and see how beyond does in the challenge.

The workout is simple. 7 minutes to do as many burpees as you can. Burpees must be chest to deck and both hands have to make contact with an object measured 6 inches over your reach.

This is a nice way to finish your workout but I wouldn’t recommend starting with it as its deceptively evil.

I hate burpees but they sure are a good workout.

I may try your challenge at the gym today, if I do I'll post up my results.

OP how many have you done in 7 minutes?

I hit 104 last night. First time I did it was 95. It was great way to finish my workout,

Warmed up with 3x5 deadlifts at 360 and 5 mins of interval skipping to wake up my CNS.

lol do commando burpes, when your chest hits the ground roll over and then get back up, then back down and do it rolling back the way you came.. :D

Love burpees, my friends and I had come up with a workout called the 2 minute burner, as many front bar squats @135 for 1 minute and then 1 full minute of burpee chinups,

my best was 31 squats and 8 burpee chins in two minutes consecuitive

I will have to give that one a try, burpee chin ups are one of my fave workouts. I love throwing sets of them in between heavy deads..

Tried the challenge tonight. Got 94 burpees in 7 minutes :thumbsup:

My strategy was to do 20, rest for a bit, do 20 more, rest etc.

I think next time I'll try to do 25 per set, that way if I can get 4 sets in I'm at 100.

nice score, did you find it deceptively bad. I tried to just keep a continuous pace after the first min i thought it was going to be easy but by the last min I was fighting for reps.
