Quick question about in-transit permits from Alberta registry:

Currently have a SK driver's license and have one car registered under SGI in SK. Just bought a used car from ON that is coming to Calgary. I can register for Alberta insurance with my SK license and with the insurance/policy number/bill of sale I can get an in-transit permit that is good for 7 days.

The gray area and part I am unsure about is, what are the restrictions of using an in-transit permit? Am I only allowed to drive the car to and from the OOP inspection only? Will I get in trouble for driving the car other to anywhere other than the mechanic for OOP?

Also, I assume the in-transit permit does not come with plates. Should I strap my SK plates on or just drive around plate-less as long as I carry documentation.

TIA
