View Full Version : Telus charging in error for "Additional Email". Check your bill.

Keep an eye on your Telus bill.

Just noticed a $7.00 and $3.16 charge on my latest Telus internet bill for something called "Additional Email". Contacted Telus and they confirm it is a mistake and they are working on it. I asked if it was wide spread and it appears to be at least somewhat:


3:36:01 PM MDT : Jane: We are aware of the incorrect billing and are working on correcting this as soon as possible.. We have identified your account so if it does happen to appear on your bill next month, you wonÕt need to call in because we will automatically correct it for you. Thank you for your patience while we work through this issue.

3:36:40 PM MDT : me: So is this wide spread?

3:37:32 PM MDT : Jane: Those who are affected are clients with billing cycle that starts with 1.

They know who has been billed incorrectly, yet not a peep by way of email, not a peep. Never goes the other way with these monster companies.

Umm. I got an email from Telus about erroneous charges on bill this month and low and be hold I had the email charges, and my bill was $10.16 more then normal.

Called in and asked how much to pay so I didnt overpay and have credits on my account. The guy gladly calculated and told me the amount.

Yeah I just checked my bill and had the 7+3.16 email charge, I don't usually check my bills but oddly did today. Did a quick google and this thread came up...

Lucky day, waiting to chat with Telus now about it.

Been charged for 2 DSL lines for 3 month now, started when I upgraded from their 15mbps to their 25mbps plan. Once I figured out how much I have to actually pay, I just pay that and ignore the crazy inflated bills that keep coming. They must have really fucked up on a lot of people's bills recently to be that backlogged, that ever 3 month later it isn't fixed. I called them in initially and they told me it is definitely marked as a billing issue and is awaiting review.
