Personally I didnt really like the way these looked at first, but i kinda like them

Those are just test mules though, the 2014 wrx/sti is going to stray from the regular impreza. That is why we got one last year of the current wrx/sti

Just out of curiousity, are saying that the 2014's will not be based on the current impreza chassis?

From what I recall, same chassis as the new impreza but modified. Engine based upon brz engine with a turbo iirc. Here is some info from last fall, don't have time to look anything up more recent. http://www.motortrend.com/future/future_vehicles/1107_subaru_wrx_to_go_its_own_way/

So true. I actually prefer the previous gen Imprezza with the alteza looking tail lights. Front is nice but damn, the backend of the new imprezza is terrible. Reminds me of the scion tc from last gen.

I think he's implying every car company is jumping on the bandwagon and adding LEDs, which doesn't look good at all on some cars.

The front 3/4 view reminds me of a Civic Si slope...

I think they hit their peak in 2007 with the second gen design.

It would be nice if they could design a car that looks good for a change. The SVX is probably the only Subaru to have nice lines.

I fear the reason Subaru is trying to somewhat distance the WRX/STI from the regular Impreza is to justify a bump in pricing. The 2013 WRX/STI is rolling on the same technology as the cars did over 10 years ago and it's been cheap to produce the same cars over and over again but these upcoming cars will be the first all-new WRX/STI's in a decade. Chances are they aren't going to cost the same as the present ones using engines, transmissions, and AWD systems that date back to the 90's.

That's pretty ironic, I own a SVX. It was designed by Italdesign which explains the whole not looking like a dog thing.

This is my hope as well. The current wrx/sti's are too big and bulky. Also, time to up the horsepower as well.
