Ended up at the advance screening of this last night and I must say...impressed! Great flick, it didn't have much of a Hollywood feel which I loved. It seemed more of an action packed documentary filmed with mostly POV cams.

This was awesome! Might be my favourite movie of the year. If you liked Training Day then you will like this.

Really well done, although I read somewhere that the directors/writers spent some time with actual LAPD officers to get the whole "life in the day" feeling out of them and implement that into the film.

I also enjoyed the film thoroughly.

Just caught the matinee. Not what I expected, but a great film none the less. Final sequence makes it hit home.

I just watched it last night. I liked the POV feel of the movie and how it wasn't Hollywood'd right out. But I was really disappointed with the lack of plot, no twists and turns.Too predictable and loosely packed content. Poorly thrown together. A very big disappointment in general.

I watched this on a flight a few weeks ago. Great movie, a great change from your typical Hollywood blockbuster.

Best movie I have seen in a long time from any North American director. Its definitely a "Film" not a retarded Hollywood movie.

David Ayer the director spend time in the military, and he knows all about the hood in south central L.A. which imo is why the movie is so damn good.

If you guys like this, then watch the TV series Southland. Really like the show and like this movie a lot.

This was a really good movie, with the exception of the part where 3 people emptying full clips from AK47's at close range couldn't hit either guy haha. They could have done that a bit better, but most movies are like that anyway. I really liked it though.

Full Auto ak's arent going to hit much without the right training (even still...) , but yeah that was a bit tough to believe the guy only took a shot to the hand.

Otherwise, awesome movie

This was the only thing that got me wondering. Despite the lack of training, you got 3-4 guys with AKs unloading on 2 guys and none of them get hit critically.

But I thought it was an excellent movie overall. Very real, dark and the acting was excellent. Is it me, or is there an insane amount of profanity in this movie? Haha.

Yeah I'd have rather the one guy die in that scene rather than later in the alley, it would have been just as good and more believable. The rest of the movie did a really good job though, I certainly wasn't disappointed. That scene just seemed out of place in an otherwise very "real" movie.

Thought it was pretty meh. Terrible acting, bad dialogue, totally fakey and cheesy in many spots, dumb rap music, etc. thought it was annoying that they had to keep justifying the pov shots byhaving people grab the camera and say "why are you filming?!?!"
