Prelude 4ws squeeking

From the back left wheel when i turn the steering wheel it squeeks pretty loud. Guy says the spring is rusting. Does that make sense? What should i look for?

What year is your prelude? The 4th gens had an electrical system, and I doubt that it would rust. The 3rd gen ludes had a purely mechanical system and I suppose it's more prone to rust, but I've never heard of it. Most of the time something just breaks and the back wheels stop turning.
