There's a lot of good places in Mission/17th area.
How much do you want to spend? What type of food do you want?

You're going to have to narrow it down WAY more than that, but some of my favorites are Muse, Pulcinella, Mercato and The Vin Room. FARM is pretty good too, as is Borgo.

You might also try Candela, it's run by the same people as Alloy and is tapas style.

Una is OK but they don't take reservations, because they want a huge lineup so they always look busy. I always just get takeout there. Pulcinella makes better pizza IMHO.

Weird, I've never heard that. I eat there quite a bit, it's exactly the same every time. Maybe I've been lucky.

I like the unicorn pub on stephen ave. Probably not what you're looking for, but its quiet, chill, and not full of douchers on a friday night. Bonus points for playing classic rock.

Thanks for all the responses, looking for a place with a cozy atmosphere and good food, pricey but not pocket draining is fine, I'm just not up with all the cool places in the core, I went to CIBO and wasn't impressed. If all else fails, I'll try Mercado as I've heard good things about it.

I've heard Without Papers in Inglewood has better pizza than Una. But I think Double Zero has better pizza than Una too.

I liked Una more than Without Paper.

Most of my friends prefer Una over Double Zero because Double Zero was really oily and salty.

I eat out most nights and usually go to Vintage, Divino or Blink. I don't know 17th ave very well since Stephan Ave is only a block away.

Trib is a good spot on Stephen ave. A little expensive for me to go regularly, but hey, most beyonders wont' even notice.

Thanks for all the replies, ended up just bar hopping and snacking here and there, ending up at Clive Burger for a late night snack. Great burger, weird crowd...I know to make reservations more than a couple days in advance next time for a Saturday night.

I found Una better, probably preference. Una is always super busy, but as someone said, a great date place. Walk in, make reservations, they'll call you when it's ready (usually 45 mins) and get drinks in the meantime

What have you guys had at Divino for lunch?

I had the Ahi Tuna salad and it was VERY average IMO. The Ahi was cooked entirely through as well, rather than seared, which I didn't like. Portions were very small and it was expensive. Maybe I just caught them on a bad day though.

Haven't tried them for dinner yet.
