Discovery channel's "Highway Thru Hell"

Highway Thru Hell (http://www.discoverychannel.ca/Showpage.aspx?sid=45238) recently started up. The owner, Jamie Davis', is from my old stompin' grounds, and it's kind of cool to watch the show taking place in familiar areas.

My wife and boy were visiting family in Chilliwack/Hope and it turns out my BIL knows one of the drivers. So he set up a meet for my son. Now, if you knew my son at all...you'd know this would eclipse Disneyland or touching the Stanley Cup, by a wide WIDE margin. My son just LOVES big rigs. So he was in heaven.

I've watched a bit of one episode. It was pretty cool seeing the guys work on TV. I've driven on the Coquihala in the middle of a snow storm quite a few time and I couldn't help but wonder who would pick up all the big rigs sitting sideways in the ditch.

Yeah, he's a very shy, quiet kid. Hard to get him to show much emotion. But he's been talking about the whole experience ever since. Wants to get a job at Jamie Davis' yard now.
