Tire Sizing question

My sti winter tires are 245/45R/18. My buddy has a Veloster running an OEM tire size of 215/40/18

Do you know if my tires would fit on his rims without any issues?

going from 215 to 245 is pretty huge, the rim widths would have to be the the same for it to be guaranteed to work. My guess is that with your tire being so much larger than his is that he may end up with rubbing issues even if it does work.

they will fit on the wheels yes, but yes your tires are both taller and wider, not a good idea, rubbing issues most likely, not to mention the speedo will be out on the veloster, if it was only 1 size larger not a big deal but to go that much bigger, not a good idea
